Meet Our Designers
Mother's Daughter Card Studio is a hobby-turned-passion for us and while we draw inspiration from a variety of places we put a lot of our own personalities into each card. We belong to a supportive crafting community and in many cases have borrowed great ideas for our own cards. The truth is, we like the art of handmade cards but what we love most is knowing our cards make a difference to someone else. We hope our cards inspire you, speak for you, and connect you with the important people in your life.

It took a few years after inheriting my mother's cardmaking supplies before I took an interest in using those supplies myself. Who knew that is where I would find my happy place? No matter the written sentiment on a card, the unspoken idea is always, someone is thinking of you, and isn't that what we all want? My cards are made in my home in Michigan. In my designs, I like to explore a wide variety of techniques and fun-folds. You will know my cards by their embossed patterns, use of die cuts and extra special foil and glitter papers. My other hobbies are crocheting and reading, and I volunteer at a hospital making baby blankets for the nursery.

My fondest and most treasured memories of home are sitting at my mom's kitchen island, melting crayons onto a tinfoil-covered warming tray while she cooked, cleaned, and cared for her family in the evenings after work. Distracted and genuinely busy, I am sure, but she always had time to visit my refrigerator gallery and buy everything. That playful support fostered a confident, creative spirit in her daughter that is still at the center of everything I do. Although I have always enjoyed crafting, my mom turned me on to handmade greeting cards and has taught me everything I know so far, using many supplies handed down to her from her mom, my grandma. My personal style leans toward clean and simple lines, coordinated prints and patterns, and small but bold embellishments. My cards are made in my home studio in South Florida and marked with my initials, AG.
